Issue with Traction Control Light?
in 2 Simple Ways
1. Turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine. 2. Press the gas pedal three times quickly. This will send a signal to the traction control system to reset.
Without an OBD2 scanner
3. Start the engine. 4. The traction control light should turn off after a few seconds.
Without an OBD2 scanner
If the traction control light stays on, repeat the instructions. If it doesn't turn off, the traction control system may be broken.
With an OBD2 scanner:
1. Connect the OBD2 scanner to the diagnostic port under the dashboard. 2. Turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine.
With an OBD2 scanner:
3. Use the OBD2 scanner to select the "Traction Control" option. 4. Press the "Reset" button on the OBD2 scanner.
With an OBD2 scanner:
5. Turn off the ignition. 6. The traction control light should turn off after a few seconds.
If the traction control light stays on after resetting it using an OBD2 scanner, the system may be broken. You should take your Jeep Wrangler to a technician for diagnosis.
